Rye House Power Station
is an efficient, combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station located near the market town of Hoddeston, in Hertfordshire, about 18 miles north of London.
The station has three gas turbines and a steam turbine that together provide the most efficient form of thermal electricity generation. At its full output of 715MW the station can meet the electricity needs of nearly one million people.
Rye House Creek Power Station operates under an Environmental Permit that is granted and monitored by the Environment Agency.
The station’s Environmental Management System is certified to the international standard ISO 14001.
